JANE FOX

Jane Fox trained at City & Guilds of London Art school in the 1980’s. Whilst studying she did an apprenticeship in a Decorative Arts workshop in Camberwell and on graduating set up her own studio in London to complete painting commissions and produce commercial work for designers and architects.
She exhibited regularly in the 90’s in London group shows including South Bank Centre, Wilson and Gough Gallery, Sue Rankin Gallery and Smiths Gallery, Covent Garden.
After 10 years working in London developing her creative practice, alongside gilding on site all over London (including The Dorchester, Park Lane and Ritz Hotels) and restoring antique furniture, she set up a Gilding workshop in San Francisco, California to complete a commission for the Getty Family.
The commission was gilding a 12 ft Rococco Fireplace and Overmantle carved by Master Carver Adam Thorpe over 2 years. She ended up living and working in San Francisco for a decade painting and exhibiting, whilst running her gilding and decorative arts studio and working for leading designers and antique dealers.
Returning to the UK Fox & Worthington Fine Art Gallery was opened in partnership with David Worthington in 2012 in Bridport, Dorset and had exhibitions till 2015 when it transferred to being a pop up gallery.
